When I’m out and about speaking to women’s groups, there’s always someone who takes me aside and shyly asks what to do about vaginal dryness.  In other words, there’s a fire in the hole!   I cover this in detail in both my books (available at www.SunnyHersh.com ) but here’s the short answer – prescription Vagifem.  These bioidentical vaginal suppositories 2x per week are good for maintenance, but you may need a course of Estrace cream for initial “remoisturization” of the Sahara down there.  And those desert conditions affect your urinary tract as well, so you’d better start Vagifem-ing even if you’re not sexually active.   Regarding help from your drugstore, any lubricant may work for you but I use an all-natural internet-only brand called Firefly because of sensitivity to various ingredients.  Another all-natural lube is Carrageenan from Oceanus, available in stores like Pathmark and Duane Reade and online at Amazon and drugstore.com.
